The Suwannee River Water Management District is a small agency with a big mission:

To protect north-central Florida’s rivers, springs, groundwater, and coastal estuaries, and to provide recreational opportunities for the public to enjoy the region’s abundant
natural resources.

Through research, regulation, monitoring of water quantity and quality, and land acquisition and management, the District strives to accomplish this mission.
