The Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) invites schools and school-age educational community groups within its 15-county boundary to join our efforts in protecting water resources by implementing water quality and water quantity projects.

Types of Eligible Projects

The program is currently open and interested schools may apply for funding consideration, not to exceed $2,000, for the following type projects:

  • Efficient irrigation management
  • Technology to improve water supply
  • Water conservation
  • Water quality improvement
  • Other water quality or water quantity projects

Each high school within the District is eligible to receive funding once per academic year.

The District Governing Board has designated $20,000 to assist STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), agricultural, and other school classes to fund the projects.

Completed applications may be submitted electronically to the Projects team by email. All high schools within the District are encouraged to apply. Download the School and Community Grant Application (PDF).
