Idle Speed/No Wake

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has established idle speed, no wake zones for the Suwannee and Santa Fe rivers. These zones will be enforced by the FWC for individual segments of the rivers when water rises to specific levels. Idle speed, no wake means a vessel must proceed at a speed no greater than required to maintain steerageway and headway.

Report boating violations to FWC dispatch toll free at 1.888.404.3922.

There are no flood-related no-wake zones under enforcement at this time.
