High School Water Quantity & Quality Grants
Rain Garden with Compost BinThe Suwannee River Water Management District (District) invites high schools within its 15-county boundary to join our efforts in protecting water resources by implementing water quality and water quantity projects.

The program is currently open to high schools only, and interested schools may apply for funding consideration, not to exceed $2,000, for the following type projects:
  • Water conservation
  • Water quality improvement
  • Efficient irrigation management
  • Technology to improve water supply
  • Other water quality or water quantity projects

Drip Irrigation ProjectEach high school within the District is eligible to receive funding once per academic year.

The application deadline is October 31, 2014. Completed applications may be submitted electronically to Carree Olshansky at .

All high schools within the District are encouraged to apply.

The District Governing Board has designated $20,000 to assist STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), agricultural, and other high school classes to fund the projects.
