Change or Cancel Form
Effective July 1, 2014, a person may not lobby the Suwannee River Water Management District (SRWMD) until such person has registered as a lobbyist by filing a registration form. The renewal deadline is December 31 annually to lobby before the SRWMD.
A list of persons registered as lobbyists with the SRWMD is maintained by the Contracts and Procurement Coordinator and updated as new and renewal completed registrations are received.
A person may not lobby the SRWMD until such person has registered as a lobbyist with the Contracts and Procurement Coordinator. Such registration shall be due upon initially being retained to lobby and is renewable on a calendar-year basis thereafter. The Florida Commission on Ethics has the authority to investigate sworn complaints that a lobbyist or principal failed to register with the SRWMD or knowingly submitted false information in a registration.
When registering, the person provides a statement that he/she is authorized to lobby on behalf of the group or business (known as the principal), including providing the name and business address, names of each principal, area of interest, and any direct or indirect business association, partnership and financial relationship the principal or lobbyist may have with any SRWMD Governing Board Member and/or employee.
Note: A separate registration form must be sent to each water management district that an individual plans to lobby.
Lobbyists must promptly notify the SRWMD of any changes pertaining to the registration to the SRWMD on the Change or Cancellation Form.
