Water Use Permit
Below are links to the water use permit applications in Acrobat PDF format. You may either print the form and fill it out, or you may fill out the form on your computer and then print and sign. Please make sure you sign and date the application prior to submittal. A water use permit application is not considered to be complete until it is signed.

How to Apply

Here are some helpful tips for completing the water use permit process:
  • Obtain the application that applies to your activity.
  • Applications must be complete.
  • Applications must be signed and dated.
  • Applications must be accompanied by the appropriate fee.
  • Mail or bring your application and copies to:

Water use permitting staff will review your application and respond within 30 days. District staff may inspect the site during permit application review.

A pre-application conference with a water use permitting staff member is recommended.

Change in Control of Facilities or Change in Status of Water Use

If you have transferred ownership or control of the withdrawal or diversion facilities, the status needs to be updated and officially transferred with the District. You may download the Water Use Permit Transfer Form from this website, and a conference with staff is suggested.

If you have a current water use permit, and you are not using the well or the use meets the criteria for a minor water use permit by rule [40B-2.041(3)(a), Florida Administrative Code], please update the status by filling out the Water Use Permit Status Form and submit it to the District. If you have questions, please contact water use permitting staff.

Application Notification
