LIVE OAK, FLA., JUNE 3, 2022 – Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday announced the reappointment of Charles Keith and Larry Sessions to the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) Governing Board. 
Keith was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in November 2016 to represent as an At Large Basin member. Keith is the owner of American Pawn Brokers, Inc. He received his bachelor’s degree from Armstrong State University.
Sessions is the Administrator of the Suwannee Valley Transit Authority. Previously, he was a Suwannee County Commissioner and a member of the North Central Florida Regional Planning Council. Sessions attended the United States Military
Academy at West Point and served in the United States Army before receiving an Honorable Discharge.
“We are pleased that Gov. DeSantis has reappointed Mr. Keith and Mr. Sessions to our Governing Board,” said Hugh Thomas, Executive Director of the District. “Both have been tremendous assets to the District and we look forward to their continued service.”
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
The mission of the Suwannee River Water Management District is to protect and manage water resources using science-based solutions to support natural systems and the needs of the public. The District holds true to the belief of water for nature, water for people. Headquartered in Live Oak, Florida, the District serves 15 surrounding north-central Florida counties.
