LIVE OAK, FLA., Jan. 31, 2022 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) has announced the hiring of Troy Roberts as its new Communications and Outreach Manager.
Roberts joined the District in early December and will be responsible for the District’s outreach efforts in its 15-county region and with local media.
“We are excited to have Troy supporting the important work of outreach and communications for the District,” said Hugh Thomas, District Executive Director. “He brings a wealth of experience to this position and we are confident he will help the District share its ongoing efforts with the community.”
Roberts was previously with the Florida Department of Transportation, serving as a Communications Specialist for nearly six years, before joining the District. His prior experience also includes working as the Public Information Coordinator at Florida Gateway College and serving as the Assistant Editor of the Lake City Reporter.
“I appreciate this opportunity and look forward to sharing the hard work done by the District and its employees, as well as the positive impact it has on the region,” Roberts said.
