Water Resource Development Work Program

In accordance with Section 373.536, Florida Statutes, the Suwannee River Water Management District (District) has completed its Five-Year Water Resource Development Work Program (Work Program) for Fiscal Year 2023.

The Work Program describes the District's implementation strategy and five-year funding plan for the water resource and water supply development components of the approved North Florida Regional Water Supply Plan (NFRWSP). The projects listed in the Work Program demonstrate progress in implementing projects identified in the NFRWSP and projects which support the plan's objectives. Also, the implementation of projects listed in the NFRWSP supports the recovery strategy for the Lower Santa Fe and Ichetucknee Rivers and Associated Priority Springs (LSFI).

The District believes that this work program is adequate to further the recovery of LSFI, to ensure water is available to timely meet the water supply needs of existing and future reasonable-beneficial uses for a 1-in-10 year drought event and to avoid the adverse effects of competition for water supplies based on the District's established MFLs.

This work program is available for review. Following review, the finalized version of the Five-Year Water Resource Development Work Program will be incorporated into the District’s Consolidated Annual Report.
