The District Ombudsman replies to inquiries and complaints only against the District. The Ombudsman does not have the authority to change an agency's finding, policy, or to bring legal actions. The Ombudsman does not investigate complaints against any other entity.
The Ombudsman cannot intervene if the matter is in litigation and should not be contacted if you are represented by legal counsel. The Ombudsman is a resource the public may use prior to the dispute escalating to the legal system.
